Eight hour day, very little work
brought in in consequence

Ladies Sub Committee
The Laundress' application for a
holiday granted. Emily Dickson's
Mother interviewed upo her desire
to take Emily home, consent given
very relutantly. Miss William's Journal
read then Matrons Requisition book signed

Wednesday 6th
Mary Cullen a former Inmate
called to see the Matron & Sub Matron,
many years ago she was sent to
Mrs Alick Osborne as house & Parlor
Maid taking with her a Son of Twelve
years of ago to work upon the estate
and go to School, he has risen by
degrees to higher posts and has at
last taken a farm of two hundred
acres where he and his Mother reside
and is milking about fifty cows.
