12th Fanny Bruce sent from the gaol with a note from Canon
Rich asking that she may be received
was taken in waiting the decision of the Ladies Committee.
Lucy Howard gone as general Servant to Mrs Fowles of Coolegong
at 6/ per week

Tuesday
13th Ladies Sub Committee
Florrie Jones, Maria Monk & Fanny Bruce admitted. Maria
Woodhouse and Hettie Lee asked permission to leave the
Institution, consent could not be given.

Wednesday
14th Louisa Engles who had been in Service twelve months with
Mrs Fowles returned to this Institution
Maria Woodhouse twisted the handle of the mangle rendering it
useless and then went into the drying grounds lying down for the
remainder of the day.

Thursday
15th The Matron gave Maria Woodhouse the option of washing and
keeping a civil tongue or going away she elected to to leave the
Institution.
