Tuesday Roberts & Barnes went away
Lilly Bennett was persuaded to write
to a friend to come and take her away.
Susan Taylor was spoken to upon
her rudeness to the Laundress
Wednesday 7 pupils
18th Mr. Freeland conducted eveng service
Thursday 7 pupils
19th Lilly Bennett insisted upon going
away her friend not having answered
her letter
Friday 8 pupils
20th Rev. C. F. Garnsey conducted service
Saturday 9 pupils
21st Eva Sparkes climbed the drying
ground gate and attepted to get
away over the wall when discovered
she took a stone in each hand
and defied any one to hold her
saying she would not remain in
this place and if prevented going
she would smash every window.
The Matron telegraphed for her
parents to come to her. Mrs. Sparkes
came and after an hours talking
to she consented to remain in the
Institution promising to behave her
self obediently.
