October 20th Mrs Caldwell visited. Dorcas meeting Mrs Goodlet spoke to Mrs Lewin about tobacco which she told the Inmates the Laundress had brought for her and two other women. The Dean of Sydney held evening service.
Friday 21st A person called from Mrs Wise with a note to Mrs Goodlet respecting the situation of Teacher. Mrs Dawson visited.
Saturday 22nd Ellen Adams and Lizzie Darnes have had a great quarrel to day. I consider both to blame equally Ellen became so excited that we had great difficulty in quieting her. I have written to Dr Nathan to visit Fanny Chapman she is poorly suffering from cold, which I consider might be cured without troubling the Doctor but as Fanny has complained to the visiting Ladies that she is not attended to, I thought it prudent to ask the Doctor to see her. Mrs M Jones visited, Mrs Lewin told her she thought Mrs Pawsey would get her a situation if some one would see her I have promised to go to Mrs Pawsey - Miss Holland and the Laundress went out this evening.
