being without a Sub Matron all the
month has prevented me from having time
to write my journal
the General com'tee 9 Ladies present
Mr. Reeve gave an address in the Evening

Saturday 4th
Very late in sending home the Clothes
Some of the women having been ill all
the week. The Rev'd Mr. Caldwell called to
See Jane Bowman. Ellen Pincterford and
M. A. Williams went to their situation
to day. all have behaved well this week

Sabbath
5th
Dr. Charles gave an address in the Morning

6th
Mary Jane Salmon came to see me
She was confined 3 weeks ago the Baby
is dead. her health is much better
Dr. Nathan visited. Mr Crane called.

7th
Mr. Bradford of North Shore came to
ask if he may engage a Servant. I promised
to let him know after Speaking to the
Ladies. Sub Com'tee 8 Ladies present

8th
Mr. Robins gave an address in the Evening

10th
the Dorcas meeting only 2 Ladies present
