Sabbath. and prayers mostly to God for pardon
and forgiveness. the father with tears in
his eyes, asked her to promise that
she would go on her knees & pray for
mercy before it was too late!! She did
promise he also [inserted] reminded her " of the fearfull [underscored] end of Jane Pennington her former companion. that was buried alive! "
This is the first time her father visited her.
Margth [Margaret] OBrian called to tell that she had
"found out" things were not all right at Di Wests"
Matron was unable to advise her, but would [?] name it the
ladies on teusday [tuesday], She stayd [stayed] to the services
(with a little pressing.

Monday 15th A Box of oranges presented by Mrs Goodlet
as a reward for the inmates industry and good conduct was brought early and 1 each distributed to all the 27 with their
breakfast.
Tuesday 16th Ladies Sub Comt [Committee] present
Mrs Goodlet Hon Sect [ Secretary] Mrs Hay and
Mrs J Thompson
Messrs Young, Lark & Bennett sent 16 prs [pairs] Blankets, 9 4/12 doz [ dozen][inserted] wooln [ woollen] sleeves & armlets
and 1 piece Flannel. very seasonable gifts this cold weather.
