                                           Senior Constable A Strachan begs to forward
                                            herewith a few of the Aborigines names of
                                             places with their meanings which he obtained
                                            from some of the old residents of the district
                                                 There are a good many Aboriginal names
                                            of places in this distrcit but he cannot
                                            get any one who knows their meanings and
                                             the half caste Aborigines here appear to be
                                            quite ignorant of their meaning in English
