MONDAY, JAN. 4th, 1932.

Worked hard all day on letters and business generally. In morning took Monkey to Gollancz and went to Mudie's Australia House, bought envelopes and home. In evening developed nasty cold in throat.

TUESDAY, JAN. 5th, 1932.

Finer day. Worked in room all day on letters and general business. Feeling very seedy.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 6th, 1932.

Same routine. Read "Broom Stages".

THURSDAY, JAN. 7th, 1932.

In morning went to bank about A.H's money and to Hammersmith for post. Was none. Read "Broom Stages" Started on second Monkey Story.

FRIDAY, JAN. 8th, 1932.

Worked all day on odds and ends. In evening read "Broom Stages"
