met me. Was met with
death of little Mary. Ghastly
home coming. Gibsons &
May & girls came in

The "little Mary" referred to would be Ruby and Will Brydon's 6 year daughter Mary M. Brydon who died at St George District Hospital on the 1st November 1932 ( Sydney Morning Herald 3rd November 1932, death notice p.8, funeral notice p.7)
