JANUARY, 1930.

Thursday 23 Poor old Lena still flittering and flittering. Great relief when she goes.

Friday 24 End of diarrhoea bowel came out. Great pain. Mr Morgan & Harry & May came to say goodbye to Lena and kept us up till we nearly died.

Saturday 25 All but me went in to see Lena off. I was in great pain and did washing and cooking. In evening struggled to office.

Sunday 26 In great pain. Mother and Aunt Eliza went to see May

Monday 27 In great pain. Did washing and then laid [lay] on bed. Got cable from Mrs Robins.

Tuesday 28 Did ironing in agony and in afternoon called to see Doctor Susie O'Reilly.

JANUARY - FEB., 1930.

Friday 31 Got up and did chores. Went to office and slept (thank God) after lunch. In evening birthday party for Father. May, Eva, [Mary?May?] & Family & Ruby Neville. warmer but crisp wind.

Saturday Feb. 1 Went to office after lunch and slept exhausted till 5. Mr Gray came for tea and stayed and stayed and bored and bored. Senility !!
