Cold grey day - occasional glimpses of
sun, collapsed into rain towards evening.
Stayed in house pottering over 'Phoebe' &
writing letters.

16 Mon
Pottering mess
in the office with the pigeon. Was
in slight 'bus collision at
Tavistock Sq.

17 Tues
Office routine.
Grey days. Too cold to be
without fires. Got home &
did ironing to help new housekeeper
very very tired.

18 Wed
Went to Emerson Club for dinner
& heard Hamilton Fyfe with Dr Letitia
Fairfield
