A Celebrity

Miss Miles Franklin, who has long been working as a nurse of the sick soldiers now in England, sailed on June 27 to form one of a Scotch Women's Unit to take part in the Macedonian campaign. She is well known as the authoress of the novel, "My Brilliant Career," which ran into five editions some ten years ago and which she wrote while living in Penrith, New South Wales. Miss Franklin is a Goulburn District native and has many relatives in Yass district.
