Awaked to a grey day. Must have had quite 7 hrs sleep!!! So I felt very well. Left at 10.45 for Killara & walked from Stn to 36 Springdale Rd, gardens very pleasant. Lena had already arrived. Stanley & family also there but S. rushed off to work & we were left to a great feast. Beautifully roasted turkey & vegs. & 4 sweets. Nuts & chocolates. S. rushed back again & collected his family: Nan, Peter, Margaret & Susan about 4. Ruth, Lena & I with Mrs Waring had more feasting. Then Ruth drove Lena home to Hunter's Hill. I went with them & returned with R. as far as Chatswood to take the train & got home by 8.15. Such a nice warm soft day, grey almost all the time but no rain.
