Fine day but chilly in evening. Frank R was to come in morning but never appeared wh. threw me off finishing the Essay so I gave the time to writing a long letter to Jean Devanny & also to Aileen Goldstein. The latter upset me. I just can't goad myself to go on. Oh for a friend at hand. They are all so far away & too hard pressed to have any concern for me. Florrie N. Knox rang up. Has been in bed with arthritis.
