Lovely warm day.
Went to Wentworth to meet Molly Bowie Furphy's long ago delight & had lunch. Then to say goodbye to Elsie Belle. Aileen had not come. To newsreel & home exhausted & lay

Warm day at last. J.K. cooked meal of veg with cold duck.
His foot bad so Everill Venman came in & took me to train at 4.15 and I got to Albury at 9.45 to be met by P.R.S. [Percy Reginald "Inky" Stephensen] with the old glad warmth & we drove thru moonlit night past drought, fields & weir to find dear little Win [Winnie, wife of P.R.S.] as wonderful as ever in beautifully kept house.
