Evening – The Hamiltons don't
dress well – & they need it –
I have been very quiet only out
I think 2 evenings during the
last 10 days – & then only to
[indecipherable] & William Leslie's.
Mrs Davidson is very suffering
I am so grieved about her –
Martha Anne goes to Rotterdam
on Thursday next for a visit
Mr & Mrs D. talk of going to
Saxonbury but I think they
will be very dull there in her
painfully helpless suffering
state – I have not had any
Australian letters yet but
I daresay I shall be able to
add a postcript [postscript] to this note
