Berrima

During the past year a School has been in
operation at Berrima, averaging above
30 children, formed by the guarantee which
your committee have been enabled to give
from the liberal subscriptions of the
District and the support from Parents
amounting to about £80 (eighty pounds).

There is at present the sum of £40 collected
[indecipherable] years ago towards the building of a
school house here, but the scarcity of
above has rendered it necessary to
postpone the commencement of the building.

Mittagong

Two schools have been established in
Mittagong, the high range causing an
impossible barrier for children to travel
daily. The distance also being too great.
