Throsby [Park?] 25th Novr 1848

My dear Sir

I really feel ashamed of myself
for not having written either to yourself or Father to
thank you for the kindness and attention
to my dear Son it as [has] not been I assure you the
want of thought or inclination to do it but I [indecipherable]
think of the painful subject I put off doing so
from time to time till I repeat I am really ashamed
of myself. I trust you will excuse me.

The particulars of his sudden change and
death I have had from Dr Hill, if there is any
thing that might have occurred previous to
that sad event which you may think I know
nothing

Rev James Hassall
