My dear Hassall

I am now going to do what
I have intended doing for some time back
but for several reasons I have put it off
from time to time - It gave me much pleasure
to see the account of your ordination in the papers - Accept
my dear Hassall my sincere congratulations on
your being chosen by God to become a
Minister of his Church - and that you are
now in a situation so well adapted to the
leading [of] a Holy Life - I pray that you may
perform your duties of a Clergyman with
constant zeal and faithfulness - and that
you may be guarded against the [sorrows?]
that some of our clergy have fallen into

but I must cultivate their acquaintance as soon as I go to Sydney
