My dear Brother,
I have just time to request
that you will have the goodness to see Jonathan
and urge him to promptness and perseverence
in doing someting in the conveyment of his
affairs.
I wrote him a memorial to the Govt.
in order to gain time & he as you will
preceive by the enclosure, and which James
and I desired him to execute and present
tomorrow; but, alas! hie is gone home, and
says he will be down again on Monday!
I need not tell you the consequences of lsing
time in such applications; and you may
judge of the grief he has caused both
of us by such an obliquity of acting.
If anything should strike you
as being necessary in the Memorial have the
goodness to point it out; and send it
by JOnathan on Monday, if he comes.
