Revd Sir
I received your letter by
Mr Greenhil wich gave me great
pleasure to heare that all was
well - since William left me
& Frances [Francis] as [has] been to oconnell
plains with Mr Hawke and to bring
out what few Cattle was there
wich was so scattered abouht that
we got one of your Cows from durty
Swamp mountains on our returne
my horse broke his hobbles and got
away and was away a week since
we returned we have been in the bush
for the strayed Cattle & have got
the most of them we have also
been in search of the horses but
with out success - I ham sory to hear
the team is not Coming up as we are
so badly situated the hut being in
one place and the yard in another
& having no way of finishing it
til a team comes up as their is
no place to cut [rods? (roads)] near the
house - we are very bad of [off] for
rations when William left he

but I think it is 5 or 8 May 1829. Thomas answered it on 13 May 1829. see p 1944
