My Dear Sir

I was in hopes you would have favoured
me with a call on your return from Sydney. I beg leave
to send according to your request my Bill of Costs against
Featherstone by which you will perceived the Plaintiffs.
Attorney has admitted in my presence and that of Mr.
Stephen the settlement of the action -

I [Indecipherable] I was rather vexed when the receipt
and release from Royal arrived, my defence to the action
was so good that I must have got a verdict - It is
a mistaken idea, that because a receipt Deed or Agreement
the account of it being signed on Sunday is any other day
set apart for religious duties, is invalid. It is not
forbidden by law altho indecorous and if possible should
be avoided. Both Mr Stephen and self were [Indecipherable]
