[indeciperable] surviving friends catch the holy flame with ardent
divine ways. "Let me live the life of the righteous and
let my last end be like theirs" Hark! the solemn
& hollow murmer of the roling surf ought to remind
us of the latter day when at the sound of the trum
pet the Sea shall give up its dead & the graves
shall be opened and all both great and small must
appear before the judge of quick & dead. Art thou
my soul prepared for thy latter end. Art thou ventur
ing to approach the throne tho' at at the back though
with fear & trembling - Lord Jesus bless their meditations
& prepare me & poor trembling sinners to approach and
give us grace & mercy so that at that great day
we may find favor in thy sight and enter thy
blessed Kingsom with all thy waiting people

Tuesday 14th July Left Mr Roberts and dined at the
Revd Evans' Lambaddon (?) came home in the afternoon
and found to my joy the letters from Brothers & Sisters
with other letters from friends. The Lord be praised for
all his mercies. Heard a Lady Mrs O - as I pass
d [indeciperable] speaking well of me. The Lord grant that
I may be humble and always deserve to be spoken
[indeciperable] " that I might be wise as a serpent
& harmless as a dove [indeciperable] my light so shine
before men that they may glorify my Father in
heaven that I might glorify [indeciperable] every good word
and deeds
