Wednesday 24 June 1818 Come packet sent there or Landdowe
heard the Rev Morgan Lloyd preach from text Gen22 V after
which the members of the Church met many others prayed and the Minister
stood amongst the people exhorting them in an interesting man
ner - the night reminded me biblical (indecipherable) A large
Old Church containing thousands of people standing
to hear the the word of God (for want of seats) spoken with
eagerness to the teacher swallowing the Gospel words
that proceeded from their mouths while the big tears
rolled down the cheek in testimony of their love and
sorrow, here were the Old & the young, the rich and
the poor, the lame & the blind yea the thought (indecipherable) and the gay weeping
wept becuase Rev (indecipherable) understand what was
said I wept at the thought that God had prepared
a place for all his people where they should all
praise Him on one tongue & with one langauge - the Lord prepared
their meetings Let praise fill our mouths prayer our
hearts and the Holy Spirit (indecipherable) rightly in us - I came
hither to Wales fearing that I should find the Church polluted
with wicked and ungodly (indecipherable) ? how diferent then
I find a great a love in union a brotherly affection
beaming in every countenance here. I meet them with
their baskets of Bread & Cheese to feed the poor "Bless
The Lord O My Soul & forget not all his benefits"

be on the Lords side (indecipherable) (indecipherable) to from this with
more zeal knowledge & (indecipherable) determined to be
