My Dear James -
I have just returned with you mother & Eliza from the Consecration of the new Church of St Philips you will see a tolerable account of it in to days Herald 28th I saw Mr Barton in Sydney who told me about the deed I must see Mr Martin & get him to come over if I can- I fear it will be some time before you can get the deposits handed over Cunnigham has writtten to ask if I will sell the remainder but I have not answered him until you you come down- I wrote a hasty [scrawl?] on Friday or Saturday

and supposed it crossed on the road I hope to see Mr Martin tomorrow as I go to court- Mr Wall will not give up the Cottage & I am compelled to make him Your mother stood the journey up & down [well?] the fatigue of yester -day I din'd at the Bishops, with the Clergy it was a very in-teresting meeting The only draw -back was that the Camden Wine was sour & I fear some of the Gents suffered through it- I was a better judge & mixed sherry with it

well we went to hear Robert King in the afternoon He preached a good sermon for "In all places where I record my name &c &c
- We had a laugh at Mr Barton who came with us to the steamer & while taking with your mother off she started - He was in great fright but got a boat at Bel main - Saturday [Babyer?] came to get the Bullocks to plough him some ground - I gave him leave but he is to give them up when you want them they are very fat - and I think it will do them no harm - Your affect Father

My Dear James
Before you had written to George about the Grey horse I had determined to send him as the most suitable & if you have an opportunity to sell him do - He ought to bring from £7- to £10- I think he would make a good gag horse -
Roberts will start with the hay on Tuesday at least I expect so - You will write by him & let us know how you are getting on -
