Charlotte; and tho' Saml's going in the Active supersedes the necessity of my now writing to you by way of giving you news - and tho I am hurried, yet I cannot concern it concistant with the friendship that sub sists between us to omit writing tho' my letter be ever so short. Having fully stated to you in my letter by James Shepherd, (which I hope has reached you by this time) my object in sending Sam' to the Colony, and views and wishes respecting him, I need not here repeat them.
