FL14425344

[MS 242]

Duty every Sabbath and Instructed upwards of
Forty Boys and Men during the Voyage.
On his Arrival at Port Jackson in Jany. [January]
1822; Govr [Governor] Macquarie had resigned the Government
of the Colony, and your Petitioner found that a
change had taken place which prevented his
obtaining an Appointment, until an Order
had arrived from England for that Purpose.
------- Having now waited Eighteen Months in
Expectation thereof without Success; your Petitioner
prays that your Lordship will Endeavour to
obtain for him an Appointment; as otherwise
he will most probably be compelled to return
to England, not having yet any Provision
made for him in the Church, in these Colonies.
And your Petitioner (as in Duty bound) will ever Pray.
