| FL14425285State of Nature & therefore must[?] first[or find?] a high [?]
[indecipherable] upon a needle or nail. I wish to intro-
duce agriculture using[?] them, this will
immediately supply their real [indecipherable] & be the
first thing to raise them into a civilised nature
I have [indecipherable - 3 words] with me instructing
them in agriculture, I cannot doubt but that
the time is now come for these people to be blessed
with the Gospel of Peace & that the [indecipherable] is
[indecipherable] of life them. There is great opposition
to the frock [?] in this colony, but I think God
will in his own good time remove this enemy
& give peace. I have been more tired this last
year than at any former period of my life
but blessed be God I still stand my ground
against all the [indecipherable] that be - do hope I shall
continue to stand. I often wish to return to the
bosom of my country & frequently resolve to do so
but I am immediately checked by the thought
what will New Zealand do? What will the Missionaries
in all the Islands do if there is noone to care for them | FL14425285State of Nature is therefore ? |
