of our labours on these journies an addition
has been made to the numer of these
professed worshipers of the True God (called
by the natives Bure Atua) but whether
many have been really converted is only
known to Him. The King who
has sundry times made kind enquiries
and questioned me concerning you, your
father and family, and manifests a real
esteem for you all, is now on a Tour
round the Island. His conduct for
some considerable time past causes our
hopes conernings him which had almost expired
in some good measure to revive. He is much
altered for the better, and I trust restored
from a state of great backsliding.
