Sefton Cottage
May 5th 1813

Dear Sir
You were so kind to say
you would procure & send me a log [hog?]
of [indecipherable] if you have not been
able to do this. I wish you to defer
it as I think I can now purchase[?]
it nearer home. But if you have
forwarded it to me be kind enough
to [indecipherable] the particulars -
I have taken the liberty to trouble
you to procure me a few things
which I have mentioned to Mrs
Burns - do not forget a permit
with the spirits
From my truly [?]
Rob Cartwright
I shall be obliged to you to send me a
Saw Set.
If tobacco is cheap I shd [should] like to have a little
more than mentioned
for Tho. [Thomas] Hassall
