Mr Dear James
& Fanny
Although I believe I have not written
to you jointly believe me I often think of
you both & cease not to pray for you
It may appear that your lot is cast
in the desert where no spiritual waters
flow. Your scene of labour though ex
tensive may seem disultory & almost
useless: but who can tell Doubtless God
(the Infinite) was training his Servants
David & Moses for important situations when
actually attending the flocks of sheep in
the wilderness or by the Mount Horeb
- So also I trust He [underlined] will be with you | FL14424718[Page 327]
