Mariann has been staying
here two or three days, and
I took her down to Dani-
well this morning so
that I am not quite so
tired to night, as if I
had been at work all
day, and tomorrow
being Sunday I can
stop up a little later
to night. I have only
been to church once since

I left home and that
was last Sunday.
We are all going on
Christmas day into
Geelong to church.
Now I am going to try &
answer some of your ques-
tions if I can, first what
am I doing and how I
like it. Why the business
of the day is hay makeing
and I like it very well
it is harder work than

Garden has come on so well I knew
it would if there was any sort of
a season.(Monday) As it is raining this
evening I will try and write a few
more lines to you. The Dr has got 70 acres
of oats in this year, we have mowed
30 and are going to reap the rest.
I had a jolly row with all the men
to-day. they are a set of crawlers; talk
about old Roberts being a crawler: these
men down here do not work half so
