so our only plan is to send
Henry. I hope he will be success
-ful in finding the horses but
if not he will bring others
instead of having to send
another man.
I wish Papa could have
come up next Sunday instead
of going to the Lakes and then
gone with us to Goulburn
Aunt Shelly is expected there
on Monday however it is not
use thinking of it now and
no doubt all is for the best.
Mama's health is certainly
improved and she is very
free from headaches we
[page 2]
are both anxious to get home
I am writing in the midst
of a storm we have had a
great many since we have
been here Mama says you
are to give her love to Miss [indecipherable]
and thank her for her letter
which Mr Howell brought us
yesterday. We will not
mind going home by ourselves
I expect we shall have to
be three days on the road if
old Davy comes and stay
at Major [indecipherable - hutell's? mitchell's?] a night
I do not like being here on
Sunday at all, no church
Lain once I would not
[page 3 - superscript]
do for the bush Mama cannot tell the days
of the week last Tuesday she was sure that
it was Saturday. I was quite surprised
to see by the paper that Mr Wild had become
a candidate for Camden he must be too
late perhaps it is a mistake but I shall
see by the papers to day. Uncle is
still confined to his room but he is much
better. With love to Mrs Hill believe me
my dear James. Your affec'ate [affectionate] sister
