As far as extra-curricular activities
and living conditions are concerned, I
would like to know what, if anything,
you intend to do about the fraternities.
The closing of the sororities has made
most of us wonder whether you were
going to allow fraternities after the
war, and, if not, what aid you would
give them to get them back on their feet.
Speaking for myself I can say I am
still heartily in favour of fraternities.
I consider them an almost inseperable
part of my life at Stanford.

I suppose a great many returning
veterans will want accelerated programs.
I was in that kind of a program
under the A.S.T.P. training, and, in my
opinion, acceleration is undesirable
and unsatisfactory. You just don't learn
the subjects well enough.
