Dear Sir:-
Just received the Stanford Alumni letter and am discussing the important questions ask.
1. I hope to return to Stanford to work for my Edm. - I received my M.A. there in 1935.
2. I have been doing a "Comparative Standard of Living Study of the Pacific Countries," and want to continue in this. I wrote my masters thesis on "Native Costume and Customs Around The Pacific." I have had seven trips in the Pacific countries.
3. Before the war very little along this line was offered at Stanford and

while I would like to get my Edm. at Stanford I feel I could get more out of research at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu. Would this be feasible.
4. If I continue to study at Stanford I would need a single appartment. I am 46 and after several years of life in the army, living in army BOGs I need a bit of peace & quiet.
5. Only extra-cur. activities I would feel the need of would be a club where graduate students can gather and get acquainted.
At present I am residant

Mess Officer in the largest hospital of it kind in the country, as well as C.O.I. a WAC Hospital Detachment.
I think you have been notified of my promotion to 1st Lt.
