Dear Mr. Tresidder:
You ask if we in the service will
return to Stanford. As for myself, I
have been graduated, but if possible,
I'd like to obtain an E.E. degree. I
went through the Radar coursee at
Harvard and M.I.T., and understand
from Dr. F.E. Terman that it may be
possible to have this work credited.
I doubt if I will be able to take
the time to go back to Stanford,
but I imagine that others who
took the Radar course will want
to work for an advanced degree ini
electronics. In preparation for such a
course, some additional courses would
no doubt haev to be incorporated
in the curriculum. I would suggest
that more space be given to the
electrical engineering labs and more
test and training equipment pur-
chased. (Such equipment might be
obtained for very little from the
government after the war -- and even
now when a lot of the training
schools are being closed. Dr. Terman
should make a good "liason" [liaison] man
in this regard.
I think you will find many
of the men returning will be
