Dear Mr. Tresidder:

Your letter of last month
has just come to hand and I shall
answer it immediately, especially
since the subject interests me
particularly. The day when I can
resume my studies at Stanford
is one to which I am eagerly
looking forward.

To answer your questions:
I do intend to return to Stanford
as soon after the war's end
as is possible. I shall resume
my course as I had it laid
out, and obtain my degree in
Economics-Accountancy. I plan also
to take some courses in the arts -
language in particular, and to
take the work at about the same
