HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Sorry about the skimpiness of this card, we're on the road, and mother's day here was in March, and I'm not real organized and… you get the picture, anyway, I'll make it up later. Anyway we're down in the South Western most tip of England, gorgeous country, rolling hills, green grass, gorgeous beaches, great rocky cliffs. I really love it. I guess it ranks with Wales for the most beautiful part of Britain so far, but Scotland is next week so I'll have to reserve the right to change that if need be. There are four of us on this trip, and we're having a lot of fun and the weather has been good which helps a great deal. We're in a Youth Hostel in a castle tonight and it's really beautiful. We watched the sun set over the town of Falmouth from the castle walls and we're off tomorrow for another castle a little farther north, then a side trip into London on the way north and back here for a couple of days for laundry and such and to pick up my travelling companion for Scotland. It will be hectic, but also the bulk of my traveling [to?] end of [?????] [Scotland?] to enjoy myself. Take care - I LOVE YOU - Vickie

Hi Lavere!
All is going well here, I've just gotten home from a trip to Scotland and I'm having some trouble settling down to work, but that's to be expected. Scotland was beautiful and really relaxing and I now understand why Dianne loved it so much. I only whish we'd had more than four days to spend, but we were skipping school as it was and we just had to get back and do some work. The weather was even gorgeous. - especially nice since we had to spend so much time on trains and such, it was nice to have good weather --it makes the scenery look SO much better, especially the lakes. The thing that really amazed me was how friendly all the people were. - everyone wanted to help and was more than willing to do anything they could to help us out -- a nice change from a lot of people. Take care, and I'll see you whn I get home - Vickie Roell

Hi Grandma! Not very much time right now but I'm trying to get through this card so I can mail it here in Dublin before we get on the train to Killarney. I really love Ireland! People are really friendly and hospitable and extremely helpful, sometimes you don't ever have to ask. Dublin itself is really nice especially as big cities go and despite the on and off rain we've had for two days--it's like travelling in the winter and its the middle of July! This is really crazy! All goes well. About 4 more days to spend in Ireland and then back to England until I leave for Washington (around the 30th or 31st probably.) Saw Trinity college yesterday--looks like a nice place to go to school, not bad at all. Well, I'm running out of room as usual. Take care and I'll see you at our house in a month -Love you- Vickie
