In the evening I went to Mrs Brownleys reception and had a very pleasant evening. They had quite a novel entertainment. They gave out cards with twenty four questions on them, each one of which had to be answered by a name of a flower. I was with Prof and Mrs Hudson and I had lots of fun as they are very bright indeed and the questions were very good. Prof Hudson was private secretary to Herbert Spencer in England and Mrs Hudson said last night that she used to play Beethovens Symphonies to him nearly every day as he had given them to her. This was before they were married. There were very few there as all were used up from Friday night and the festivities of the day.
