roped in yesterday & guarded folks stealing things. All night we could hear them call out the hrs "4 o'clock & all is well" - sort of a chant then all together - Sounded terribly wierd yet rather pretty. We slept almost none last night I say we but I slept pretty good. This A. M. we got up about 5 & took a time exposure, hope it will be good but doubt it. Got a film yesterday in [Palie?] & am going to take more picture took several this A. M. before breakfast. [Palie?] is in complete ruins. You should have seen folks
