"The Perennial Philosophy" by
Aldous Huxley. It is very
deep and rather tedious
reading, but very interesting.
It tries to show how the
basic themes of all religions
are fundamentally the same,
and is quite convincing.

I certainly hope that your
trip to the hospital next week
is successful - I wish that
they would just locke the
both of you up and keep you
there for a couple of weeks
or so.

I forced Ruth to let me
send you this clipping
concerning hospitality committee
that Mrs. Nyswander spoke
to Ruth about saying that
we might help with some of
the things. I thought you
might be interested. I wish
though that you would send
it back because I think that
Ruth will probably want to
keep it.
