D. W. Earl

Daniel Wylie Earl (1832-1921), through D. W. Earl Company, was a Sacramento grain and flour dealer for Gold Rush towns, supplying them first via mule trains. Earl was an original stockholder of the Central Pacific Railroad and as the rail lines extended through California and into Nevada he became the chief supplier to the burgeoning silver mining industry.
