¶ Scogli son multi per lo mar coperti
Su vi percuote e rumpe alcuna volta
Chi non ha marinari d'esi asperti
Insule grande e picole sum molte
E d'epsi parlaremo a' luochi certi
Quando saremo la oue'l sole volta
Vegiamo prima in general la terra
Come resiede e come 'l el mar la serra

¶ Un .T. dentro ad un .O. monstra 'l disegno
Come in tre parte fia diviso il mondo
E la superior e magior regno
Che quasi piglia la mita del tondo
Asia chiamata il gambo rito e signo
Che parte el tertio nome dal segondo
Africa da'uropa el mare
Mediteran tra lei in meço appare

¶ Questo tondo non e meça la spera
Ma molto meno e tuto l'altro -e- mare
E non e tuta questa facia in terra
Arrida terra ma da navicare
Si trova in certe parte gran rivera
Che ben la tercia parte de bagnare
D'acqua salata che ven da gran cerchio
Che a tuta l'altra terra fa coperchio
