A pretty pleasant day: Annie Marshall called in the
morning; father went to Rockville; Lucy came home from the
Cottage after dinner, and went to Aunt Sally Gilpins to supper.

13th.
A beautiful clear day; Lucy and I went to Poplar Lodge to
see Annie Tillum, in the afternoon, home to supper, and I
went to Sherwood after supper: father came home to supper,
and started William off to Washington on his way to Marlborough
to attend Rosa's trial.
