S. S. H. & I. here Stars calf died. chilled when born while scours. Finished shucking corn at Norwood took 31 bu 1/2 white & sent some to Norwood. Short corn brought home. Bought Seperator Dr. [ ? ] To be payed for 1/5 - 30 days. 3-4-4 mixture bal. 60 8

1916 16 degrees Tuesday 8 February J. H. S.S. & A. here. 1 1/2 men working on trees in new ground. 2 m 1/2 day hauling wood 3 m 1/2 day hauling fodder. 1 load from Norwood. Truck load of wood to E[ ? ] $6.00. Brick cylinder broke with freezing of water.

1916 Monday 13 March

R. S. J. A. 1/2 day Sing away. Sawed 7 c wood. Planted gate post in garden fixed fence etc. 1 m 1/2 day hauling in miller from back field. & same to garden field. Worked up garden & planted 2 Rows, Bulger Beet, Early Peas 2 Rows Bulger Early Peas Early Beets 2 Rows Big Beets & chickory lettuce. 3 Rows Onions. Pressed beet seed down tight with wheel of sower.

1916 TUESDAY 21 March W. A. S. O. & P. here. Walter Back. 2 m 1/2 day pruned [ ? ] [ ?] out of big orchard. 1m 1/2 day trim trees. 2 m 1/2 day in Hill orchard. 2 m spreading manure in garden field 1/2 day. 1 m [ ? ] of [ ? ] from garden field. Went to grange. Dr. Adams tent Farming way.

J. S. W. A. & P. here. 3 m 4 h got load of hay from Palmers 54.00 stable hay. at 14.00 1 m trimming trees 3/4 day in garden. Went to town to see oldest little Wilcox in Dodge bought cane back.

J. S. & P. here. Shelled ensilage corn seed 12 bu cleaned out cornage house etc. Rain. Played basket ball against Rockville 27-29 their favor. Black heifer bore heifer calf.

1916 MONDAY 27 March

J. S. P. A. here. gang plow & 3 h plow 1/2 day in C H field. finished plowing the same. 2 c bailing wire broke tongue out of hay carriage. changed hind axles from ensilage truck to market wagon. cold & raw. thunder shower. after supper.

Superb & Progressive ever bearing straw berries the best. Plant some.
