28th 3rd Father & Ben throwing dirt out of
ice house. I hawled it off with
Pete in cart. 12 loads. Clear & cool

4th 29 Fair & son putting up stone wall
in ice house. Father
tending them. Ben & self hawling
stone. 12 loads. Clear & cool.
Most delightful weather.

5th 30 Father tending the masons Ben
& Jacob cutting corn. in orchard
I went all over the neighbourhood
after a sheep. took dinner at
Charlie Kirks. After
dinner Ben Jacob & self picked
nine barrels & a half of apples.
Beautiful day. Cousin
Debbie left this evening to go to
Grandfathers where she will leave
tomorrow for Baltimore & Phila

6th 1st 10th month 1869
Father tending masons. he also took
two calves belonging to heifers over to
Uncle Bobs 10 acre field. Ben Jacob
Kiah & self digging potatoes up to
dinner time, after which
I went with Kiah to Laurel
after a load of his goods. got
back at 9 PM. Ben & Jacob picked
up potatoes after dinner. The
perfection of a day. Killed Brave much against my [wish?]
