176 4th Month 1870

6th 29 Raining nearly all day, Father and
Wm boring a [morticing?] posts, I
mending wheelbarrow. Andrew cutting
wood.

7th 30 Wm and self [moving?] fence running
from cidar mill to gate bet Uncle Asa
& Father down the field 20 acres, so as to
make a pasture, field of 12 acres.
Evan and Andrew setting up the fence
all day, Father assisting till dinner, clear

5th Month 1870

1st 1st Went to meeting in [Billi?], Allan Farquhar
here to spend the afternoon. Clear.

2nd 2nd Corrie and I started to Washington at
6 AM in the Rockaway?. Arrived
at Mrs Blisses at 10, Clara Genie
Corrie and self started to the Capital
at 11.30. I remained with them till
2.15 PM when I started for home
arrived here at 6 PM. changed horses
and took Sister to the Sociable which
met at Edwd Thomas'. Eliza Farquhar
& self took our seats as officers
Wm and Andrew helping Mother in morn
Father got some trees down on [Uncles?] place
Wm & Andrew finished hawling stone off
both the back fields after dinner Father
went to Colesville on road meeting Elected Treasurer
