6th 24 Ben Kiah and self cutting corn
in morn. Father getting peaches
& helping part of the time.
Gil. Capt Boutelles man came
up after Mrs B. Hellen & Henry and Dot
they all went down at 4 PM.
Father Ben Kiah and self cutting
corn all the afternoon. Cloudy
all day; Paid Kiah in full
to tonight
7th 25 Father Ben & self finished cutting
corn in the west field. After dinner
we ground some apples which Father
made cider of. Ben & self
cut corn in orchard.
1st 26 Raining all day very hard. Equinoial
Storm. None of us went to meeting
I slept all the morning. read
part of the afternoon. at 4 I went
to Brook Grove, after sister. In
the evening we sang read the Irish
letters & I recited some pieces
2nd 27 I took Mrs Woodhull Charlie and
Nellie to Laurel in the spring wagon
got back at 12. Ben digging
out ice house all day. Father & self
helping after dinner. I also went
over to Mrs Lees & paid for 10 busshells
of Delaware Amber wheat $6.75. pr bus.
All seven of us children sat down at supper table
by our selves. Clear & cold.
