9th month 1869

6th 3rd I took our two horse wagon over to Hollands
corner to have it mended. After got back I
assisted Father and Ben in making
cidar. Griffith Serch here after dinner
making cidar.

From 9th month 3rd up to
12th. We have been doing odd
jobs about the farm, Such as
brambling. making cidar cut corn
for half day but found it was too
green. commenced digging potatoes
they are turning out about
85 or 90 bus to acre. 7th 13th I went to
Washington with two of our horses
and two of Uncle Asas after governess
wagons. We got two. pd $25 a piece
Got back at 9 PM. found the
girls waiting to have a dance.
Ben and Kiah digging potatoes.
Kiah here yesterday for the first
time.

1st 12th I went to meeting in rock away took
Corrie Nellie & Marnie. Clara stayed
at home. After dinner we talked
awhile. then Clara Nellie & self
took a walk to the woods had a fine
time. After tea ''talked'' & ''walked''
