1528 Meeting
Tanglewood
7/7/88
On July 7, 1988, the 1528 meeting of the Association was held at
Tanglewood. Jean Ladson and Neka Thomas served as cohostess. The
meeting was chaired by Betty Hartge in the absence of Chris Kolstad
and Joy wrote the minutes in the absence of Peg Gibian.
After a delicious lunch, we adjourned to the meeting and the reading
of Tanglewood's August 1960 meeting minutes. I could write the same
minutes again. "Thanks to the size of the house, the handsome old
shade trees and several very quiet and very busy electric fans, it
was delightfully cool." Rebecca Iddings Small.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Treasurer
reported a balance of $89.46.
Jean introduced her guest Martha Nesbitt.
The next three places of meeting: Kay Metcalfe - August, Betty
Hartge - September, and Wendy Lawrence - October.
Jean's sentiment of the hostess: It is only a little universe, but
how beautiful it is! Perhaps it would be a good idea to limit our
thinking to just this planet. If we just un-think for a while,
perhaps we can one again say "As right as rain" and "as pure as snow"
Sierra Club

Neka asked "What is this silver dish used for?" It is a butter dish
